  Came here while visiting Statesville, and honestly, the food and service at this restaurant was better than a lot of places I've been to in NYC!
  
  Our server was such a friendly lady who was very attentive & kept checking in to ensure we were satisfied. The restaurant is cozy and pretty spacious--great for a family/group meal. You'll be surprised by how extensive the menu is! The bread came out fresh from the oven, so it was super warm, and it came with a balsamic vinaigrette/olive oil mix. We ordered mozzarella sticks to share, and they came out so quickly! Delicious.
  
  I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce, which came with the option of soup of the day and bread or salad. I went with the soup of the day, which was tomato basil, and this was one of the creamiest, most filling tomato basil soups I've ever had! After the bread and the soup, I was honestly 75% full, but still made room for the spaghetti. The sauce was alright, but the spaghetti was cooked just the way I like it (al dente). I'd recommend this place for hearty Italian food!

  I was so disappointed in the pizza. It seemed as if they literally placed the toppings on without even cooking it. The breading was cooked but the toppings were fresh and uncooked. It wasn't cheap either. I won't be back.

  Vesuvio, Vesuvio, where for art thou, Vesuvio?!? Vesuvio is in Statesville, of course, right beside Shiki and a few doors down from Publix! I've eaten here a few times recently and I'm starting to understand why. Vesuvio's is upscale compared to the other restaurant and I'm not just talking the decor or atmosphere, the food here is quite elevated when comparing the two. This is why I've been eating here more and more, the food is consistently superior! I have my go-to favorites which began with the original business and I find the dishes are more true to the original at this location, specifically the Veneziana. This dish is it for me! I often add chicken and I'm in heaven! Veneziana is an Alfredo based sauce with spinach and Marsala, I always ask for Angel Hair pasta. It's so good, the taste is really indescribable! It's not heavy or thick, it's just perfect! Delizioso! My daughter has become a huge fan of this dish, too and now it's her go-to! The dish is consistent here and that means a lot to me! At the other business it's hit or miss, it can be watery or extremely salty and it's even been green...yuuuck! I will now drive past the other location even for my to go orders, however, I do see there is a delivery option from this location! Yay! My other favorite dish is the Shrimp fra Diavolo! This dish comes with linguine and packs a little heat punch but I love, love, love spicy and shrimp! The sauce is tomato based and there are clams, too! Yummy! Calamari is a must starter for me and my crew! Here the squid is not chewy, it's light and tender because it's not overfried! The warm Marinara sets it off! Desserts are amazing here, we always go for the cannolis! Here you can choose between traditional or chocolate. Um, yes, both please! A cannoli is a perfect ending to your Italian meal at Vesuvio's, not too sweet, just right! Treat yourself to an Italian experience with Vesuvio soon! The decor is clean and modern yet keeping with an Italian vibe. The waitstaff are warm and welcoming! They're very accommodating and I like that! Here's to many more Italian dining experiences in the future with Vesuvio! Grazie!

  Awesome for takeout pizza, the sausage is delicious and veggies are fresh they load the toppings.  In addition it reheats well with a nice crispy texture on the crust.

  Oh wow! The pizza is very good. Nice flavors and reasonable prices.
  
  We were just passing through and pulled off and did carry out.  It was well worth it!
